How to play Krillion
One dive takes about three minutes. Learning it takes less.
The rules in five steps
Open the game
Go to krillion.io in any modern browser, on phone or desktop. Nothing to install, no account needed.
Read the prompt
Everyone on Earth gets the same seven open prompts today — “Name a country in South America”, “Name a type of cheese”…
Type one answer
25 seconds per prompt. Typos, missing accents and common name variants are forgiven — the idea counts, not the spelling.
Score by rarity
Correct but obvious answers float near the surface. Rare, correct answers sink deeper and earn up to 100 points.
Surface & compare
After the seventh prompt you get a score, a depth and a shareable result — no spoilers included.
Come back tomorrow
One ranked dive per day. A fresh shared set appears at midnight US Eastern.
The fine print that actually matters
- One dive a day. No second chances on the ranked set — that is what keeps scores comparable.
- The clock only runs while a prompt is open. Between answers you can breathe and read the verdict.
- A rejected answer costs nothing extra. If the game does not recognise your entry, you can type another while time remains.
- A zero does not end the dive. Miss the window or whiff an answer and you simply bank 0 for that prompt.
- The daily set is the same for everyone. Your depth is genuinely comparable with friends and coworkers.
Beyond the daily dive
When the day’s ranked dive is done, the game offers longer unlimited runs and themed packs (movies, sports, geography and more) for practice — and this site keeps an archive of past daily dives if you want to study how rarity plays out across real prompts.
